Description
PETRONAS Gas Berhad, together with its subsidiaries, engages in separating natural gas into components and storing, transporting, distributing, and selling such components to industrial utilities in Malaysia. The company operates through four segments: Gas Processing, Gas Transportation, Regasification, and Utilities. The Gas Processing segment processes natural gas into sales gas and other by-products, such as ethane, propane, and butane. The Gas Transportation segment engages in the transportation of processed gas to shippers end customers; and offers operation and maintenance services. The Regasification segment engages in the regasification of liquefied natural gas (LNG), as well as provides LNG reloading, truck loading, and gassing up and cooling down services. The Utilities segment manufactures, markets, and supplies industrial utilities to petrochemical plants and surrounding industries. This segment offers electricity and steam, industrial gases, and treated water, as well as operations and maintenance services. It also constructs, owns, and operates power plants for the generation of electricity. The company was incorporated in 1983 and is based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. PETRONAS Gas Berhad is a subsidiary of Petroliam Nasional Berhad.
