It also offers reinsurance products. In addition, the company involved in franchising, owning, and operating of restaurants; owning and operating holiday resorts; specialty sleep retailer; sports lifestyle retail business; invests in public and private Indian businesses; originator, processor, and distributor of value-added pulses and staple foods; entertainment content creator, producer, and distributor; hospitality real estate investor, developer, and manager; and designer, manufacturer, and distributor of performance sports equipment and related apparel and accessories. Further, it provides travel and travel-related financial services, infrastructure support services, as well as digital tools for agriculture and value-added milk, fats, fresh confectionery and plant-based bulk ingredients. The company was formerly known as Markel Financial Holdings Limited and changed its name to Fairfax Financial Holdings Limited in 1987. Fairfax Financial Holdings Limited was incorporated in 1951 and is headquartered in Toronto, Canada.
